Back Cover: It's graduation for the A-List crew. That means lavish yacht parties, designer caps and gowns, and saying bye-bye to high school for good. Despite the festivities, Anna isn't in a partying mood. Ben's been acting distant and she is worried. Maybe her father's hot tattooed intern, Caine Manning, will help cheer Anna up! Ever since her illicit kiss with Parker, Sam has been Eduardo-less and heart-broken. But hopefully Sam will us her brains and considerable means to get creative about winning Eduardo back. And infamous Cammie? She couldn't care less about gradaution, not when she's so close to unraveling the mystery of her mother's death. She'll stop at nothing to find out the truth. Def a good book, nice to get back with the A-List crew, so many great series and crews ya know? Anyways, Anna is def not acting irrational because of the way Ben is acting, but I think there's def some chemistry between her and Caine, but I guess we'll see right? Ben def should have told her the truth about that Blythe girl! uh ohhh. Cammie is one determined girl, but will she even find anything out? When Sam finds her mom and she tells a different story than what her dad said? Oh jeez. And Sam is so cute getting Eduardo back! That's amazing, and I mean Eduardo could have at least listened to her ya know? But I'm glad they got back to together cuz he makes her so happy! I love talking about the book like it all happened and they're my friends haha. Then Dee, uh oh she shouldn't have said all that stuff, guys are scared of commitment most of the time, sooo we'll see whats going down next!

6X The Uncensored Confessions by Nina Malkin
Back Cover: Sex. Fame. Rock'n Roll. Four kids on the fast track to pop-rock superstardom reveal the unfiltered truth about the glamorous, backstabbing world of sudden celebrity. Introducing... The Voice. Sweet, trusting Kendall sings like an angel- and is about to discover her devilish side. The Body. Rich, spoiled Wynn can't keep a beat to save her life. But with curves like that... who cares? The Boss. No-nosense Stella is all confidence, attitude, style, and smarts. But her relationship with the band's manager makes her more vulnerable than she thinks. The Boy. A/B has got real talent. Now if only he can keep his mind on the music... instead of on the girls. I thought this was a good book. I like books that have more than one person and their point of views, it's more fun, especially when it's the same story and you get to hear inside of their head. And especially with this band, it's funny their nicknames, but I like it, it's different. And it was just a good story, I mean it was realistic, like how they just started out as this band and how it came together and they worked together. I wonder if there's another book after this one. But I got it for only $1 at Borders! DEf amazing haha, yeah.

Island Girls (And Boys) by Rachel Hawthorne
Back Cover: Coastal Campground Resort Date July 4 Rental type: 2-person sailboat Rented by: Jen Taylor and Dylan Nelson Rental Time: 8:15 p.m. Destination: Out to sea! Life Jackets: 2 Time back: ??? Don't wait up! Back Covers like these ones are so cute. But I love the cover, it's so cute too! And so animated, makes me think of like an island cartoon with girls in the coconut bras and all that and of course dolphins and palm trees and sun! Well this book was pretty good, went through it fine. Just one of those norma cute books about friends and love. I think it would be really fun to have a house with a few friends, but def you'd learn alot about them you thought you already knew them all the way, but living with them is a whole different story! And of course they all found boys or Chelsea already had one but whatever, same thing. Thatd be so fun too having three couples! That house sounded pretty big too! But it was just a cute little summer type book! I have a few others I bought I think I'll read another type in between them, it'll make me sad cuz I want it to be summer and be on vacation!
Blood Meridian Or the Evening Redness in the West by Cormac McCarthy
Back Cover: By the author of the critically acclaimed Border Trilogy, Blood Meridian is an epic novel of the violence and depravity that attended America's wetward expansion, brillantly subverting the conventions of the Western novel and the mythology of the "Wild West". Based on historical events that took place on the Texas-Mexico border in the 1850s, it traces the fortunes of the Kid, a fourteen-year-old Tennesseean who stumbles into a nightmarish world where Indians are being murdered and the market for their scalps in thriving. I HATED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AH! Well, for english I had to read it, and I hate it. It's def violent though and random violence. SO yeah, that's all I gotta say I am just happy I finished it! I guess this author is brillant or whatever, but just not for me. sorry.

Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella
Front Flap: Lara Lington has always had an overactive imagination, but suddenly that imagination seems to be in overdrive. Normal professional twenty-something young women don't get visited by ghosts. Or do they? When the spirit of Lara's great-aunt Sadie- a feisty, demanding girl with firm ideas about fashion, love, and the right way to dance- mysteriously appears, she has one last request: Lara must find a missing necklace that had been in Sadie's possession for more than seventy-five years, and Sadie cannot rest without it. Lara, on the other hand, has a number of ongoing distractions. Her best friend and business partner has run off to Goa, her start-up company is floundering, and she's just been dumped by the "perfect" man. Sadie, however, could care less. Lara and Sadie make a hilarious sparring duo, and at first it seems as though they have nothing in common. But as the mission to find Sadie's necklace leads to intrigue and a new romance for Lara, these very different "twenties" girls learn some surprising truths from each other along the way. Written with all the irrepressible charm and humor that have made Sophie Kinsella's books beloved by millions, Twenties Girl is also a deeply moving testament to the transcendent bonds of friendship and family. This was amazing! I LOVED IT! I kinda saw reading confessions of a shopaholic the same type of girl in the other books, like thinking the same way, and they were alot alike, but this one it's alike but also totally different. and the story is so great, it's unique and it was so fun to read about Sadie and how she could do all those things for Lara. It was kinda annoying at the beginning though when Sadie kepy whining and saying like do it do it do it! or now now now! but she stopped that after a little bit haha and it was hilarious how she yelled things in people's ears and hey just glossed over, I can so imagine that right now, and also how spirited and lively she was and the difference she made, especially ratting out Uncle Bill, ugh not how a man should be right? But I really liked this book, and Sophie Kinsella is a great author fer shure.

Don't You Forget About me by Cecily von Ziegesar
Back Cover: Forget the tearful goodbyes, people- let's get on with the fabulous farewell parties! We're almost off to college, and these last days are like a perpetual New Year's Eve ball drop- total kiss-who-you-can-now insanity. So will everyone break down and spille their secrets at the last goodbye? I'll be thre to find out, and I certainly can't keep quiet... Man, I think I was pulling for Blair to get Nate, I dunno but I know I'm probably weird, but I hate cheaters, and Nate doing that with Serena while being with Blair made me so pissed off, so I an kinda glad he didn't pick either of them, since he couldn't stay away from either. But I'm glad the show isn't like that and that Dan and Serena are still together cuz they're so cute! But yeah, I'm so sad it ended, but I still do have the prequel left and also there's that newer one coming out soon about like their winter break or something like that? Should be interesting! yay, and now gotta start with the Carlyles!
Philosophy and Real Politics by Raymond Geuss
Front Flap: Many contemporary political thinkers are gripped by the belief that their task is to develop an ideal theory of rights or justice for guiding and judging political action. But in Philosophy and Real Politics, Raymond Geuss argues that philosophers should first try to understand why real political actors behave as they actually do. Far from being applied ethics, politics is a skill that allows people to survive and pursue their goals. To understand politics is to understand the powers, motives and concepts that people have and that shape how they deal with the problems they face in their particular historical situations. Philosophy and Real Politics both outlines a historically oriented, realistic, political philosophy and criticizes liberal political philosophies based on abstract conceptions of rights and justice. The book is a trenchant critique of established ways of thought and a provocative call for change.
Yeah, I had to real this for social and political philosophy. It was definitely one of the harder things I’ve had to read, but I read it all! And I really did read everything in this book, unlike some people who skim it, I actually read everything I’m assigned along with all the reading I do on the side so HA! I am amazing hehe

Would I Lie to you by Cecily von Ziegesar
Back Cover: Time to throw your hair into a messy pony and cut off your Sevens- we’re heading to the Hamptons! S & B are now co-muses to a super-famous designer, who just happens to live next door to N’s Hamptons estate… I wonder how neighborly these new neighbors are going to get. And what’s this I hear about V venturing surfside? Who’s next, D!? Never say never…Yay, I went to the bookstore and got the next GG! Oh man, of course Serena had to say she loves Nate, but I still think Nate and Blair belong together, and also, why the heck did Serena wait when they were together that whole time before? Well, Dan gay? Hmm I’m agreeing with Vanessa that it’s just another little phrase he’s going through, I mean really, Dan is just weird though haha. And I can’t believe it’s almost the end! The next book is the last one, well then there’s the newer one coming out, but that’s it after that right? SADNESS! I hope Nate can make it to Yale because I mean then Blair and Nate won’t be able to be going to college together and all that, but who knows. This next book is a lot longer, so I can only guess right?!

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Back Cover: Melinda Sordino busted an end-of-summer part by calling the cops, so her old friends won't tak to her, and people she doesn't know hate fer from a distance. The safest place to be is alone, insider her own head. But even that's not safe. Because there's something she's trying not to think about, something about the night of the party that, if she left it in, would blow her carefully constructed disguise to smihereens. and then she would have to speak the truth. This book was really good, and very addicting. It was sad too, but it was like you were confused of what she was refering to, until she told the story of how she got raped. I can't imagine that, at only 13 years old. That would be devastating, so she just doesn't want to talk to anyone, but art makes her see things. At first she can't seem to get the tree art down, but then she slowly grips it and understands it. While she becomes sort of friends with Heather, she is also completely alone, once Heather deserts her for another group of girls. And even her parents have no idea what's going on. Her grades are dropping and she isn't talking. This was a really good book and this author just has a talent for words. Oh and I so wan to see the movie they made with this but I dunno how toget it since it was at the film festival, but Kristin Stewart is in it! Oh well wish me luck finding it.

Suspicion by Kate Brian
Back Cover: Reed, Noelle, and former Billings Girls Kiran and Taylor have been living it up on St. Barths over winter break. The tropical sun has melted away all the tensions of last semester, and for the first time in months, Reed is happy. She's got her best friends by her side, she has a palatial suite with an ocean view, and she's landed Upton, the most sought-after guy on the island. Reed is falling in love. But dating Upton makes Reed St. Barth's highest-profile guest- and not in a good way. Upton has a dark past, and he's broken a lot of hearts. One of his exes still wants him. And she'll do whatever it takes to get Reed out of the picture. MANNNN! CRAZY!! Oh and don't read this if you don't want to know anything that happened or ruin it for you! So, Reed just will never be happy for long I mean damn! It starts off with her in the water because in the last book she was pushed off of the boat, so then she gets rescued, of course, by Sawyer and a few others. Now she knows someone is trying to kill her, but Noelle and everyone else won't believe her. She can feel it though, I mean they should trust her now with all this near death experiences. So then she gets convinced to stay, and they supposedly catch the killer, someone working on the boat. But then she's all excited to start the new year and what happens, she gets on a wrong boat and gets deserted in an island in the middle of nowhere, and you'd think she'd get rescued really fast right? But it takes 6 days! And then Upton comes in the nick of time. And she gets whisked off in the Ryan's helicoptor, and of course Mrs. Ryan was the one who wanted her dead, and because she was like obssessed with Upton, talk about creeeeepy! And then when they get back to school, Billings is being torn down! WTF! Wow, and it's not until March for the next one to come out omg! It's killing me already haha but yeah it was intense like always, but I kinda wanna lay off a little on all this killing and everything I mean jeez, Reed is only like what 16? But yeah it was good though.

South Beach by Aimee Friedman
Back Cover: Hot sand. Hot clubs. Hot guya. What more could two girls want? Try the same guy. Holly: Dream date or bad fate? She wants true love- and a break from her strict parents. Perhaps a spring fling will do? Alexa: Flirting with destiny or flirting with disaster? The guy of her dreams turns out to be the onee boy she can't have. How far is she willing to go? In a place where anything can happen- and does- two former friends are aboutto discover that a chance encounter can lead to the chance of a lifetime. This was a great book! I loved it and def got into it, and it was fun to read something about spring break because I've read alot about summer recently and there's probably more summer books right? Well that spring break was fun sounding fer shure! Holly reminds me of me a little bit, but not a lot I mean I'd be up for partying but I am shy and kinda innocent hehe. But anyways, and Alexa did seem kinda slutty, and it was so funny that the guy they both liked or had they like switched them! And they do seem to fit each other better but I was like OOOO When Holly found out about Diego and Alexa together in that white cabana thing I was like awww. I felt what Holly did ya know? I've read some of Aimee's books before and she's pretty good! But I am kinda failing on my books, well not failing but falling behind! Ahhh! It's so hard to keep up with so much school work and then work and this! But I'm almost there, I can't give up now!

Back Cover: Welcome to New York Citys Upper East Side, where the girls are dazzling, the guys are gorgeous, and the summer heat is the perfect excuse to throw a fabulous roof-deck pool party. Its their last summer together before heading off to college, and things are sizzlingno, its not just the weather. Despite that steamy kiss on graduation night, Blair, Serena and Nate have gone their separate waysthough not for long. Blair is off to London with her English Lord-boyfriend, Serenas about to become a movie staras if she wasnt a star already!and Nates rolling up his well-worn khakis and heading to the Hamptons. Back in New York, Dan and Vanessa are rekindling their love. Fiery! Watch out, this summer is going to be hotter than ever. Wow, this summer is def starting off pretty exciting! Blair cannot keep one guy for that long can she? That Lord seemed so nice, but guess not with the married thing I mean of course that's why Blair left, he shoulda known that! And then there's Jason, oh jeez. We'll see what happens with that. And Nate with that new girl, trying to be something he's not. And he def smokes way too much damn he's gonna die in a few years! Blair and Nate just need to be together I mean seriously, Blair is always comparing guys to Nate and watching him and wants to know where he's at, while Nate is thinking about being with Blair and missing her and all that. The same with Danand Vanessa, they just need to be together and stop letting things get in the way that's the deal. When one thing goes wrong they all break up man They'll never have relationships that way. And then that Thaddeus guy, gay, sadness, poor Serena, but I'm sure she'll still have lots of fun and always finding a new guy too! But I don't have the next one yet so I gotta read another book but I'ma try to get the next one soon! ok bye

Nothing Can Keep us Together by Cecily Von Ziegesar
Back Cover: We're nearly done with high school- forever!- but before we head off to the Ivy of our choice we've got plenty to keep us busy: B found S kissing N in the shower. Steamy! Even B can see that S and N would make the hottest couple ever, right? Wrong. B's about to strut down the revenge runway, and I have a front row seat. We'll see if this catfight looks good on the catwalk. Time to hide behind my oversized Chanel sunglasses to watch the show... So wow. First off Nate is not happy! Man he keeps crying and is all moody all of a sudden what is up with that? He's crying more than the girls are, which they never do in the first place anyways! And Nate and Serena, yeah they look great together, but all they have in common is their looks nad having great sex I guess. Then Blair got her a new man, and he's so great to her! I can't wait to see what happens with her and if she goes off to see him in Englad right? And then that was so funny when Jenny met Chuck Bass' cousin at that boarding school haha. But hey now I know how Jenny got sent off to Waverly, which is thenn the It Girl series yay! Vanessa was good to break it off with Aaron cuz they too just have sex in common really, and she loves Dan! They keep going back together, just be with each other already man! But yeah on to the next aha and then after that I gotta bu the next one which means waiting and going onto other books but that's ok. And also might I add the series is amazing! I've slowly been watching it and its def great, i could watch it all in a row I mean yeahh.

Nobody Does it Better by Cecily Von Ziegesar
Back Cover: It's springtime and our lives are really heating up. Everybody's into college, and it's obviously time to party- as if we hadn't been doing that already! Now that B's finally lost her virginity to N, she can't wait to do it again (and again). But will B and N's love affair continue? And Will B finally get into Yale? Or will N and S hook up and leave B alone in the city? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: love is in the air, and it smells a lot like Gucci Envy. Man these people are insane! ha. I still can't believe how high Nate always it and Blair I guess just doesn't care. It was so cute at the beginning them being together always never apart and then Nate of course had to do something crazy because he was high or stoned or whatever drugs do to him. And Serena and Nate hooking up again, what is up with those two? Man no wonder Blair is always so mad at them, I would be too! But anyways, it was a good book. Def get sucked into the drama and sex and all that of these upper east side girl and boys right? Well, at least Blair got into Yale right? That was good news and of course who wouldn't have thought of Aaron and Vanessa being together! But on to the next Gossip Girl I know I love it right? :]

You're The One That I Want by Cecily von Ziegesar
Back Cover: Our college acceptance letters are arriving today. Those who do best will act all shocked and modest; the ones who fail miserably will declare how unimportant it all is, even though they secretly know they are doomed; Fee Fie Foe Fum, I smell a cat fight! But after today it's time to get back to what's important: our love lives. Can't wait for this day to be over so the real fun can begin!! Good luck, everybody. Ohhh college applications! Def scary, even though I didn't really have to go through this because I got acepted to my college in December and that's the only one I applied to like through some scholarship I was trying to get! So anyways, I'm so glad Nate and Blair finally did it! They really should just get married damn haha. And man Serena just had to get all the guys, no wonder all the gossip surrounds her about having sex with a whole bunch of guys ha. And then Dan and Vanessa, man are they gonna just be together too? They need to be! They were so excited to be moving in together! Jenny will hopefully become a model? Hmmm if clothes fit over her boobs good right? And it kinda sux in the series Jenny doesn't even have big boobs! Haha oh well. On to the next

I Like it Like That by Cecily Von Ziegesar
Back Cover: Spring Break is here and it's time for S & B to jet out to Sun Valley for plenty of apres-ski hot tub fun. Too bad for those unfortunate few who have to stay in New York and intern among the city's most fabulous glitterati. Back on the slopes, when the ski house is this big, who can keep track of N, and who's sleeping where? So get out your cashmere-lined boots and meet me by the fire! So at first I must admit I was a little rusty. I haven't read the last one before this in a long time and I bought the first season on dvd and have been watching that and obviously it's been different so ya know. I forgot about all these other crazy people like Georgie and Mystery. For some reason I just keep picturing them as being the same person since both of them took away someone else's boyfriend! But it was good to get back into reading the series. It's just so great! And Jenny is pretty crazy to be waiting outside for her boyfriend Leo like that! But hey what do I know right? haha. But it was a great book and I'm already like halfway into the next one! Def intense but yeah!

Monster The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member by Sanyika Shakur, aka Monster Kody Scott
Back Cover: After pumping eight blasts from a sawed-off shotgun at a group of rival gang members, eleven-year-old Kody Scott was initiated into the L.A. gang the Crips. He quickly matured into one of the most formidable Crip combat soldiers, earning the name Monster for committing acts of brutality and violence that repulsed even his fellow gang members. When the inevitable jail term confined him to a maximum-security cell, Scott channeled his aggression and drive into educating himself. A complete political and personal transformation followed: from Monster to Sanyika Shakur, black nationalist, member of the New Afrikan Independence movement, and crusader against the causes of gangsterism. In a document that has been compared to The Autobiography of Malcolm X And Eldridge Cleaver's Soul on Ice, Shakur makes palpable the despair and decay of America's inner cities and gives eloquent voice to one aspect of the black ghetto experience today. So I read this book for my english class because it's on masculinity and violence, but let me tell you. It's amazing. It's real, obviously and so raw, so gritty, so violent, so powerful, so heart wrenching. I mean I think everyone should read this, no lie. Shakur just puts you right into the story and you just gotta take it all in. all of the gang words and how they operate and what they do to become an O.G. It's crazy. And monster is crazy. I mean I read it in a way of looking at masculinity and violence since it's for class, but just reading it for what it is besides that is so amazing. Stories like this are just like wow! You know you hear stories of this all the time and it's def a journey to read through his gang life and how he learns later on through being a father and being in jail learning about being black. From being a gangster to a black nationalist. I mean its the lowest form to the highest form and it's just God. It reminds me of my pastor who used to be on drugs and went to jail when he was young but now he's a pastor. It's so amazing what can happen when just one person or one resource or one event changes the life of a person into someone like this. But it's a really good book. Read it. I know it's probably hard for some because it's so different than their life but that's the point. Looking at what others have to go through. It's the same reading about rich girls and sex, that's their world. Well, now this is the world of guns violence gangs and drugs.
Some Like it Hot by Zoey Dean
Back Cover: It' prom season and no town does prom like Tinsel Town. Ben is back for the summer- just in time to be Anna's prom date. But his family has a house guest who's so hot, she's bound to burn up their perfect plans. Adam finds out a scandalous secret that threatens to tear Cammie's world to pieces. Sam agrees to take Parker to the prom and they end up doing a lot more than dancing. what happens when Sam's romance-obssessed boyfriend Eduardo flies in from Paris to surprise Sam? This prom is sure to be glamorous, scandalous, and occasionally downright shocking! It's just the kind of night the A-list crew will never forget. This was def shcoking like the summary says! I mean especially with Cammie's mom's death! I def can't wait to read the next one to see what happens with that! Because everyone knows that Cammie is a bitch most of the time, but even bitches have feelings right? And then Anna and Ben, nothing too exciting. I mean yeah Anna got jealous, duh. But Ben didn't do anything but be a friend to Maddy like he is to everyone else. And Maddy crushing on the teacher wo, kinda figured it out at the restaurant when she got all shy in front of him, it was either that or he like did something bad to her. And then Sam needs to get over herself! If everyone in the book keeps saying she looks fine then what is her problem. She even has an amazing boyfriend and is obssessing about him doing something to other girls then she goes and kisses Parker and Eduardo showed up to surprise her! Def gone wrong. And Dee seems much less loopy I guess but still cute and hopefully things with Jack go good! :] But yeah gotta wait to read the next one because I don't have that one but I have the one after that ha. Oh and the cover is ok. Coulda been more like how I pictured their prom looked like but whatever not a big deal

Love Undercover by Jo Edwards
Back Cover: 16-year-old Kaitlyn doesn't exactly have ordinary parents. Her father is a secret agent for the FBI and her mother recently accepted a job with the local St. Louis newspaper writing a sex column. Kaitlyn has always kept her father's job a secret and now she wishes she could keep her mother's under wraps, too. As if that's not enough, her father brings home gorgeous Blaine, a 17-year-old in the Witness Protection Program. Now Kaitlyn has another secret to keep. Blaine assumes a new name, Gordon, and masquerades as Kaitlyn's third cousin from Georgia. Kaitlyn, formerly sort of a social outcast, becomes the center of attention at school as everyone tries to get close to Blaine/Gordon. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn uses her free time to become an expert on spy tactics. She works hard to keep anyone from getting too close to Blaine, for his own good and just maybe for her own selfish reasons. Though the premise is enjoyable, the story is fairly dry. Blaine, despite his good looks and his charming personality, comes off as surprisingly naive. He never seems particularly suspicious of people or concerned for his safety—unlike Kaitlyn, who is always on the lookout. Over and over again Blaine takes sides against Kaitlyn, who he seemingly knows pretty well, and with Amber, Kaitlyn's nefarious sworn enemy. Readers looking for a light, romantic story with a bit of an edge will be satisfied with this quick, blithe read. This was a great book! It was action packed fer shure and Kaitlyn is so silly! Clumsy like me I think but it was a crazy situation. Liking a guy whose living with you because your dad works with the FBI and he needs to be kept a secret! wow. I love cute little romantic comedies like this! And there's so many of them with different twists and things. I was wondering what was gonna happen with her and blaine at the end but they are gonna try long distance! Well hopefully it works for them right?

Bitter Rose: Color me Crushed by Melody Carlson
Back Cover: One night, Maggie comes home from youth group to learn that her mom and dad just had another huge fight. But this time, her dad is moving out- as in "there's-nothing-in-the-closet-not-even-an-unmatched-sock" moving out. This one looks bad. My life is officially over. Maggie blames her mom for the family's disintegration. "She's driven him away with her constant nagging and complaining and arguing. Honestly, who could stand to live with that woman?" she vents to her friend Claire. However, there's more to the story, and Maggie desperately wants to know the truth-something nobody seems willing to tell her. OK This is really annoying because all the images of this book are wrong, this color is like freaking purple! And the book is like light pink, the color of this writing, so just decided to say that cuz it annoyed me alot, anyways. The book was pretty good. I think as well it didn't have as much as the one sense of emotion, but it was still there alot. And man Maggie just hated her mom one moment and her dad the next, it's crazy. And it sucked because she was the only one at home since her brother and sister were gone! It was so sad and unexpected though when her aunt died! I was like what! outta nowhere, and with that older guy who basically wanted to have sex with her and he says she's too young haha yeah right. even if it was someone her own age and they just met she wouldnt have sex with him either. arg. But yeah I liked it and it was very sad and hard to forgive but for sure that's one of the hardest things in life to do!

Fade by Lisa McMann
Front Flap: Some nightmares never end. For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. they're just trying to carve out a little (secret) time together, but no such luck. Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody's talking. When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open- but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both. Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her abaility- and it's bleak. Seriously, brutally bleak. Not only is her fate as a dream catcher sealed, but what's to come is way darker than she'd feared... This was a masterpiece. I mean really. Everyone HAS to read this! It's so different than other books, it's so dark and scary, but grabs your attention and it's like wow! I mean with this Mr. Durbin guy, and that party. She is so brave to do that, to go in and pretend to be in lust with him and she catches three teachers while she's at it! Date rape drugs sound so scary since you don't remember anything! But I know I don't have to worry about that, but it's still insane! And with Cabel and Janie being the only ones loving each other for the first time, it's hard, but they have to commit, she can't tell anyone else. It's so sad their parents have no say in their life, but they found each other and are gonna go through everything together. This is like a love story with dreams and nightmares and drugs and undercover agents. It's amazing and I really hope another one is going to come out! This was well worth the wait of the long line of holds at the library, damn I should just buy the first one and this one they're so great!

Play Me by Laura Ruby
Front Flap: Eddy knows how to play the game. He is, after all, the writer, director, and cameraman- the mastermind, really- behind the hit online TV show Riot Girl 16. When it wins a contest to be aired on MTV (and it obviously will- have you seen the competition?), he'll be famous. Then there's the game of love. Eddy knows all the tricks, and his favorite girls are the ones with fishnets and cherry lipstick and legs up to there. The ones who know he doesn't make any promises. the ones who are cool with it. But as graduation looms, everything and everyone starts deviating from Eddy's master scripy. Never in a million years did he expect to be facing off again with the unapproachable, perfect Lucinda Dulko. For once in his life, he's not in control- and to be with Lucinda, he's willing to get swept up in the game. But what happens to a player when the rules suddenly change? Can Eddy find a way to win it all? Or will get he get played? Hmm, I kinda thought that this was a sequel to good girls, but it isn't! I did like good girls better, but this one was still pretty good! I like getting a change of things and reading from a guy's point of view ya know? I kinda thought it was weird though because they make Eddy seem like a player and all but don't really mention anything he does to be that player. But oh well, it's good for a guy to get a challenging girl to be played on instead of playing on someone else. But I like the cover because it's like the back is out of focus and it's clear in the camera, like that's where the truth is. And his show sounds interesting, but there's so many shows out there kinda like that type of thing. Just like all the thousands of reality shows and like girl catty rich shows haha but some of those are much much better than others, like Gossip Girl season one I bought and started watching it is so great and intense! And I love it, anyways..... good book. But the other was better.

Torch Red: Color me Torn by Melody Carlson
Back Cover: Zoe is certain she's the only teenager on the planet who's still a virgin- okay, except for maybe abstinence princess Casey Renwick. The talk in the locker room makes sex sound so great- and maybe it is- but Zoe isn't so sure. The new girl inschool, Shawna Frye, has done it, although she's the one girl who doesn't say much about it. Maybe I should just do it and get it over with. When jock-boy Justin Clark asks Zoe out, she wonders if he could finally be the one. Nate, a die-hard Christian and real friend, encourages Zoe to consider exactly what it all means before she makes a life-defining decision. Behind the scenes, Shawna's dark secret threatens to change everyone's perspective on sex. But will Zoe find out before it's too late? So this was good, but I think it's my least favorite of all the color ones, because the other ones focuz more on just like one serious emotion that takes over their life, and this one has to do with sex, but not really one strong emotion. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good message and all, but the others were more intense I guess you could say! But it sux because your environment will make you do things you wouldn't have done before, like peer pressure and not only that but just your peers talking about something and always talking about it and you're the only one who hasn't experienced it. It's hard to be independent of that, but God will help you. and for me with my friends, I never had issues like that because my friends didn't have issues with sex or drugs or alcohol just like me so I was in a good environment, but yeah. I still want to try to read all the others. I think I've almost read all of them by now? I do have one more coming up soon, but yeah! This is just so crazy trying to do this reading thing with school being like 100% more busier than last year, but I only have like 50 something books left so I can do it!
When Irish Guys Are Smiling by Suzanne Supplee
Back Cover: For seventeen-year-old Delk Sinclair, studying aborad in Ireland means one thing: escape. Delk is tired of hearing about her friends' debutante parties, watching her pregnant stepmother redecorate her mother's house, and having to smile sweetly even though she doesn't think she'll ever get over losing her mother. Ireland is Delk's chance to be happy. With the stunning green landscape as backdrop, Delk revels in all things Irish, from living in a real Irish castle, to celebrating St. Paddy's Day in Galway, to enjoying Irish music and dance, to studying Yeats and shearing a sheep! So when Delk begins to fall for a very handsome Irishman, she wonders if there's more to the Emerald Isle than it first seemed. It is fun, to be sure, but will those smiling Irish eyes really be able to heal her broken heart forever? IRELAND! Yay, I'm part Irish and it was great to read about some Irish things for sure. Delk Sinclair, first off, is an awesome name! It sounds so good together hehe. Losing her mother and being overwhelmed by her father and pregant stepmother she goes to Ireland, and it def helps her. She makes new friends, and falls in love with Pather, which is a great name too by the way. And she learns new things about herself and other. She gets awesome grades in her classes and finally realizes that her mom will always be with her, everywhere she goes, and no one can change that. It's really sad actually, especially a mom dieing. But you can only keep going. And she does that. And she also gets to plan an amazing wedding for Pather's sister Katie. It sounded so cool! To have a theme like that is so fun, but also lots of work I know. Whatsup with all these marrying books haha, I didn't even know, but I'm gonna try to read as many as these S.A.S.S books as I can because I love them, even though it kinda is hard to find because they're all different authors! but that's ok! :]

Girl Overboard by Aimee Ferris
Back Cover: Swimsuit: check. Flip-flops: check. SCUBA gear: check. Leaving behind a long-time boyfriend: not so easy. Marina has been waiting her whole life to get out on the open sea. And now that she's studying abroad on a luxury yacht in the CAribbean, her dreams are finally coming true. She loves the feel of the sun on her face, the sand between her toes, and the island music swaying over her. And even better, she's getting hands-on marine biology experience swimming alongside dolphins in the Bahamas, sharks in the Bay Islands, and sea turtles in the Dominican Republic! But while her experiences tell her she's in exactly the right place, her boyfriend wants her back home in Vermont. And her distractingly cute Australian boatmate, Link, couldn't disagree more. As the island heat rises, Marina must decide once and for all where her heart is- on land or at sea. This was a great traveling book and I def wish I could go on that cruise! Even with the homework and essays thatd be amazing. The Bahamas!!! Amazing. But Marina is I think a beautiful name and she was a beautiful person. And she deserved someone like Link who actually understands the passion she has for marine life. and the ex bf, forgot his name, oh Damon didn't seem to see that in her and in order for you to be in a relationship ya gotta have equal understanding of each other and each other's passions. The scenery was great. It made me feel like I was there and in another world, especially Dolphins. I've always wanted to go see them and touch them and everything, but I don't swim very week but it'd still be great just to pet them aw! But anyways, it was a fun book. I love these traveling ones too, even though this one didn't have as much background on culture since they were focused on the marine biology, I love learning about different peoples and their way of life. It's great. and fun, isntead of reading boting text books yuck!

Save the Date by Tamara Summers
Back Cover: Victoria Finnegan to marry Kevin Ork in the Rose Bower of Cynthia Flair Botanical Gardens Sunday, June 17, 3 p.m. Dress: very flowery. yay. Paris Finnegan is marrying Jiro Kuan on the beach at Hunstville National Park Saturday, August 11, 1 p.m. Dress: um... she's not really making me wear overalls RIGHT??? Hideous birdesmaid dress fitting #6 Calm Victoria down Try not to kill Paris Try not to think about wedding planner's hot son Do not date wedding planner's hot son. STOP KISSING WEDDING PLANNER'S HOT SON!!! HAHA Love the back cover like post it note and list type things that I love to do too! Man her sisters are crazy, like Paris screaming that no one cares about her when she'a always steals the attention! And Jack doing all her sisters tons and tons of favors but not getting paid for or any thanks for it! I really do hope I don't act like that when I get married and if I do then someone needs to stop me because I mean really... haha! Bridezilla!!! But Jack is crazy thinking there's some wedding curse, bad things just happen everywhere all the time, not because she brings a date silly girl, and it was so sad when she just told him at the airport that she couldn't go out with him. SAD! I can just imagine a sad guy walking away with his head down and everything aw. But of course in the end they make it through so yay they're cute hehe. And Sofia sounds like an amazing sister, wish I had a sister like her, don't even gots a sister! But yeah, also love the cover too, cute flip flops. I'd def wear those, I wish I was wearing those and at the beach in the summertime right now with a pina colada mmm

Death by Denim by Linda Gerber
Back Cover: Aphra Conolly is being chaseed by some very dangerous people. She knows her survival depends on staying far away from love interest Seth, and listening to her mom's lectures on the finer points of anonymity and survival. But how is a girl supposed to live under the radar and not think about her boyfriend when she's in Paris- the most glamorous and romantic city in the world? Aphra would like nothing more than to entertain her fantasy of strolling along the Champs Elysees with Seth, but when her mom's contact in Paris is found floating in the Seine with a deadly message stuffed in his mouth, Aphra realizes that she will never be able to stop running unless she confronts the situation head-on. Sneaking away from her mom, Aphra tracks down the criminal mastermind in Italy, onlyto unwittingly reveal Seth's location. And her mistake has just put them in mortal danger... This one def didn't disappoint me. It was action packed and full of fear! I felt it in me too! And they finally killed the Mole! But will there be any more books later on? The epilogue hinted at it, but who would it be against? Hmm. Seth and Aphra are so cute together! And it's so sad they have to be apart. Because Seth and his family finally want to be free! and it makes sense. But it's still sad! :[ Maybe if there's another book they'll see each other! And yeah, I just loved it like it's a mystery and a love story and like everything all in one, except maybe not comedy lol. but yeah it was def good, and I love the creative names of the books and the covers. very nice.

The Debutante by Kathryn Williams
Back Cover: Senior year is supposed to be the best of your high school career. Annie MacRae is gunning for early acceptance to her dream college, has high hopes for her last season on the varsity field hockey team, and is ready for a fantastic year with her boyfriend and best friend. That is, until her parents tell they're moving from Connecticut to... Alabama. Before Annie can say "No way, ya'll," she finds herself in the land of deep fryers, "debs", and worst of all, her grandmother. The cherry on top: if she ever wants to escape back to her comfortable Yankee life, she will have to become a debutante. As in, white-dress-wearing, perfect-manners-practicing, curtsying, girlie-girl. In spite of her distaste for all things deb, Annie spends the year learning to be a lady. And somewhere along the way, she discovers that friends can come from the most unlikley places, and that change is not always a bad thing... Man I only found one picture of the book cover I actually really did read but it was a tiny pic! ARG! Oh welll. But this was a good book. It actually went by really fast like one minute it was winter then it was already springtime haha. But I liked it. I think it'd be really fun to be in a debutante but that'd never happen to me! haha. And it was funny to hear their conversations in Alabaman slang I guess you could call it. Like ya'll. And Annie had this image of how itd be like there but she actually ended up liking it and made a good group of friends along the way. You can't always judge things at first sight. So it's good to know giving people a chance is good. But it was a good book and yeah!

Be Strong and Curvaceous by Shelley Adina
Back Cover: After spending spring break in Mexico with her grandparents, Carly Aragon, can't wait to get back to school at Spencer Academy in San Francisco. With Lissa Mansfield and Gillian Chang by her side, she's ready for anything...except a new roommate. Lady Lindsay MacPhail, flamboyant daughter of the Earl of Strathcairn, quickly becomes Carly's worst nightmre. "Mac" not only swoops in and steals CArly's privacy, she also sets her sights on Brett Loyola- CArly's biggest crush! But when Mac starts receiving strange, threatening e-mails, she and Carly must come together to figure out who's behind them and why. In the end, the fate of one girl will lie in the other's hands. Will the two learn to trust one another and trust God? This def came out differently than I thought! I liked how this one read better than the other, like smoother. It was more fluid for me for some reason, and I could kinda relate because Carly is like the nicest girl and I think I'm pretty much like that too! And Mac was def something, but even all those super rich people's have feelings about things too, even if they aren't as willing as others to show it. And then all the deadliness with Mac's half brother, totally twisted and didn't expect it. And Carly was so brave! Of course with God's help. It was amazing, and I wonder if the next book is in Lissa's point of view again or someone else like shani. Hmm guess I'll find out sometime I'll hopefully read. There's so many good series out there it's great! Reading is the best!! :]

The Fruit of my Lipstick by Shelley Adina
Back Cover: New Yorker Gillian Chang starts her second term at posh Spencer Academy boarding school in San Francisco prepared to focus on her studies, her faith, and her friends- Lissa Manfield and Carly Aragon. she plays half a dozen musical instruments and can recite the periodic table of the elements backwards. She's totally prepared for everything- except love! She's falling hard for Lucas Hayes, a junior who is already aiming at a PhD in physics from Stanford. The problem is, she never seems to be able to measure up and be the girlfriend he wants. He's under a lot of pressure to achieve- maybe that's why he's short-tempered sometimes. But even a thick-skinned girl like Gillian can only take so much. With her heart on the line, Gillian conceals more and more from her friends. So when she's accused of selling exam answers sheets, even Lissa and Carly wonder if it's true. Can Gillian hang on to her integrity- and her faither- when she loses her heart to Lucas? This was a pretty good book. I have read the first one but a while ago! And I like how each book is told from the different girl but she's still within their friends. And all along I had a feeling that it was Lucas who was doing the selling of exams, I just felt it! And I was soo right ha! lol But Gillian def sounds like an amazing friend and she has her troubles too, but she's also really smart and she has really great friends to back her up. even through the fights they stick together and even manage to get closer to Shani. So now I'm gonna read the next book and we'll see how that goes. I bet it'll be about a guy because the first one was with Lissa I think and now Gillian with Lucas so probably Carly with I think his name is Brett? I don't know because I don't read the summary of the book I just wanna read it, not know anything about it! I don't read it until right now when I do the blog actually so yeah! :] moving on.
