Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

Auden has missed out on alot of things during her teenage years. Because her parents split up and she was the responsible studious one while her brother Hollis went gallavanting all across Europe. But things change when Auden goes to stay with her dad and his new wife Heidi with their baby, Thisbe. It seems like her add isn't helping with the baby at all. While Auden meets Eli and gets to do things she never did before. But it's easier said than done. By the end of the summer though, she does make new friends, Maggie, Leah, and Esther. But will she be able to make it with Eli? And what about her dad and Heidi? Is there a second chance for all of them? Of course I loved it, Sarah Dessen has some of the best books! Auden is a great character, that shows how you can miss out on high school, but still learn some of the same things and have some of the same experiences outside of it, even when you think it's too late. I love the cover too, it's adorable, and perfect for the book, and so is the title.

Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler

Anna and Frankie are best friends. But before, there was Matt, Frankie's older brother Matt, who was also a best friend. Ever since they were kids they were inseparable, but Anna loved Sam in a different way, and then she found out he loved her like that too. They kept it a secret, but then right before they were going to tell Frankie, Matt died in a car accident. After that everything changed. Anna is stuck in the past with Matt, keeping their secret a secret still, while Frankie, well Frankie is just out of control. So, the family still decides to go to their vacation to Zanzibar, California. Where Frankie and Anna agree to meet twenty boys from the twenty days they are there. That is easier said than done. They have to balance out being the good girls Frankie's parents see, and their bad side, drinking, meeting boys, staying out late at night. And this summer secrets are revealed and their hearts will never be the same again. OMG This book was extremely emotional and written very well. The way the story is told rips your heart apart and makes you feel like it happened to you. It was more meaningful than other teens stories, and kida teaches you lessons about life, or about yourself. I really enjoyed, and I'm glad Ashley let me borrow it! :]

Tall Cool One by Zoey Dean

Anna doesn't seem to grasp the concept of just having a one night stand with someone so she takes up the offer her dad gave her to check out Las Casitas and she meets Kai. She tells herself she can do it, but still overanalyzes everything in her head. She wants to get physical but isn't sure if she really can. Meanwhile, Cammie and Adam are trying to heat things up but all their attempts keep backfiring and messing up and Cammie actually cares for Adam, when she knows she can have anyone. Sam is feeling sorry for herself when all guys want from her is to get through to her dad. But then she remembers about Anna's little trip down to Mexico and goes to join her. But who woulda thunk, they get in some trouble. Sam met this amazing guy and now thinks everything will be ruined. Will she get to see him again? And what about Anna will she ever get over Ben? Of course I loved it, just another book in the series, I'm keeping on going with all these books in series haha.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter. I really don't feel like explaining what this book is about! I've already read it a few times, I just wanted to read it again before the movie came out, and anyways it'd probably take me forever to talk about it haha. Ok, I'll just say that Dumbledore is giving Harry Potter lessons on Voldermort's past, and the whole time HP suspects Malfoy of something foul while Hermione and Ron don't believe him. In the end, Dumbledore dies. Man, I hate reading that part though, it's so sad! It makes me almost want to cry, I can't imagine what the movie will be like! Can't wait to see it, I am a Harry Potter fan yes. so what? :]

Slept Away by Julie Kraut

Laney Parker and her best friend Kennedy are starting off the summer right, chilling at the pool and soaking up the sunrays. While Kennedy knows what she's doing this summer, fixing her nose, Laney has no idea, but is excited to figure out what she wants to do. She thinks of being an intern somewhere, but she has no choice when her mom tells her she's going to this camp called Timber Trails for 6 weeks. She refuses to! But her mom makes her anyways, and to make matters worse all her mom packed were nenon colored shirts and matching skorts. And she has to bunk with these 3 other bitchy girls who didnt even give her a chance, not to mention all the planned activities and then she gets her phone taken away from her! She finds a friend in Sylvia though, and starts to rethink her time at camp. This book was def hilarious, I loved all the quirky little things she said. I don't remember any, but it was funny and entertaining. I've never been to summer camp before, so I kinda got to see what it's like!

Beautiful Disaster by Kate Brian

Ariana is now starting her new life as Briana Leigh Covington at the exclusive school, Atherton-Pryce High. She's not sure at first which group to pick, but she picks the right one, with Maria, Soomie, Lexa, and Brigit, becoming her new group of friends. She's retaking her entrance exams to get into higher classes, and feeling pretty good. But her life of Privilege isn't so easy. She's into Lexa's boyfriend, Palmer, whose the president of the gold team. All of her friends get picked to be in gold, and if they win the competitions of welcome week they get admitted into the Privileged house, where there are co ed dorms. While Ariana is trying to fit in and not set up any suspicions toward her, she has many other problems to worry about. How Kaitlyn calls her up and demands for a million dollars in three days, how to resist Palmer, how to figure out the girls secrets, and a surprise visit from someone. She has a full place. But what will this girl do to get her life back to how she wants it?...... Dang, Ariana is def a crazy bitch, haha. She'll do ANYTHING to get what she wants. I mean, the goal is good, getting good grades and going to Princeton, but damn, she's pretty intense. I liked the book, but it's kinda psycho sometimes. But Kate Brian is still awesome. And the ending was totally unexpected, at least for me it was.
