Runaway by Meg Cabot

Front Flap: Em Watts is on the run. She's on the run from school, from work, from her family, from her friends, from herself. With everyone she loves furious with her for something she can't explain, and nothing but the live Stark Angel Fashion show on New YEar's Eve to look forward to, Em's reached the end of her rope... what's the point of even going on? But when she discovers the truth about Nikki's secret, she knows there's only one person she can turn to. Will Christopher be able to put aside his personal feelings and help her expose her employer to the world? Is it even fair to get Christopher involved- since if he agrees, there's every chance that Stark Enterprises will try to have them both killed- this time, permanently?
I did like this one, but it kinda did remind me too much of princess diaries, like the way Em was thinking stuff to herself about Christopher and everything else, but I felt that in the other books too, I guess it's kinda good but kinda bad. Good because you can tell it's by Meg Cabot, but bad cuz it's like always a negative type of personal dialogue. Anyways the beginning there was kinda confusing cuz I didn't remember who knew that Nikki Howard was really Em, but then I realized oh everyone in that house does! And that is def a crazy concept to think about, having brains put in someone else's body! WTH! I wonder if technology will ever get that good and if it does it wouldn't surprise me but it'd def be scary! Overall a pretty good book that went by fast. And I'm guessing it's the last book in the series since they caught the bad guy and all that happy ending type stuff! That dress she's wearing on the cover does remind me of a sequin black top I have that looks like that but is a tnak top! So yes, pretty good book, but not the best.

  1. I liked the book. I love the books. I did not like this one as much as some of her other books. but I thought she did a really good job on it. this is not the best book in the world but it is a good read.
