Front Flap: After bidding good-bye to New York's brightest star, Elizabeth Holland, rumors continue to fly about her untimely demise. All eyes are on those closest to the dearly departed: her mischievous sister, Diana, now the family's only hope for redemption; New York's most notorious cad, Henry Schoonmaker, the flame Elizabeth never extinguished; the seductive Penelope Hayes, poised to claim all that her best friend left behind- including Henry; even Elizabeth's scheming former maid, Lina Broud, who discovers that while money matters and breeding counts, gossip is the new currency. As old friends become rivals, Manhattan's most dazzling socialites find their futures threatened by whispers from the past. In this delicious sequel to the Luxe, nothing is more dangerous than a scandal...or more precious than a secret. Oh My Gosh!!! I can't believe Will dies at the end. I'm still like thinking about it over and over. That is one of the saddest things I've read. Esepcially when they were just about to go on to their freedom, and having a wedding with Elizabeth's family and getting her mom's blessing. I was shocked and didn't expect that at all. But besides that, the book was amazing of course. Am reading the next one after I'm done doing this! But I love how it's set in New York and like back then, because even though so many things were different, alot is still the same I'm sure. With all the gossip. Not so much the dress code. But I love the covers too. I'm guessing that would be Penelope on the cover? Not quite sure, but getting ready to read Envy now! :]
